Dr. Jack Thomas is the Program Director at Skinny Utah. He has been helping people with their health for over 30 years. Dr. Thomas has extensive experience in Nutrition and Sports Medicine and was one of the medical professionals selected to work with athletes at the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City. He has been a guest on radio talk shows and has hosted numerous seminars on healthy living. Dr. Thomas was formally trained as a doctor of chiropractic. Dr. Thomas works with clients to assess their weight loss goals and monitor their progress in the Skinny Utah program.

Karen Trifiletti, is well, yes, Italian-American, hailing from Philadelphia originally-and of cheesesteaks, soft pretzels, roasted chestnuts on the corners, and lots of things we don’t typically eat at Skinny Utah. Karen is a Professional Life & Wellness Coach and works as a professional consultant with Skinny Utah. In addition, she partners with Skinny as a Life Coach for those who complete the full or short New You program and want to explore other lifestyle, relational, career, personal, or life design issues so they can live the life they envision. Additionally, Karen offers Skinny Utah Maintenance Coaching after the program for those interested. Please know that she has walked the walk you are walking, and so has great hope, insight, and compassion for you and your journey!
As a Board Certified Life Coach, Karen has a couple of specialties. While she works with those who desire any kind of life changes, she specializes in wellness and long-term weight loss life changes, in life transition, and in relational betrayal. In terms of the latter, she helps women process the emotional loss and devastation of sexual or relational betrayal, assisting women to use their trials to rediscover their mission and purpose as they re-shape the dreams and reality, and find deep and lasting healing. (Coaching, by the way, is different than counseling in that it empowers the individual client to make decisions by engaging in a conversation with them, asking powerful questions, helping clients to reframe beliefs in a positive way, and move from point A to point B in their lives to realize their divine potential and do the things they were born to do.)
Karen is a professional writer, and has co-created articles for the betrayed partner for a global faith-based site, and is working on a book for partners of sex addicts. Karen was trained by APSATS (CPC-c) in the multi-dimensional trauma partner model and the Institute of Life Coach Training (ILCT) on general life and wellness coaching and redesign. She also engaged in past, advanced training with the Arbinger Institute in relational coaching. Her masters and doctoral work are in Human Development. Karen is passionate about what she does and looks forward to partnering with you.
Katie grew up immersed in natural health and wellness from family and found a love for nutrition on her own after college. She has a bachelors degree in Communications, and after working as a personal assistant to a Chiropractor for a year and a half, she witnessed many miracles of transformation as people improved what they would eat. She found a passion in helping others strive for their healthiest life possible and believes firmly that by changing your nutrition you can heal many sickness in the gut, body or even mental health- and regain energy and a weight to live your life doing the things you love to do. She is certified in natural holistic remedies and plans to continue formal education in health and wellness.
